What is class buddy?
Introducing our Class Buddy Program, a unique initiative designed to provide additional support and personalized attention to students with special needs during our classes. This volunteer-based program pairs students who desire extra assistance or encouragement with dedicated buddies who are passionate about making dance accessible to everyone.
Through the Class Buddy Program, our goal is to foster inclusivity, enhance learning experiences, and promote friendship within our dance community. Buddies will work closely with students to offer guidance, assistance, and encouragement tailored to their individual needs, ensuring that every participant feels supported and empowered to explore the joy of dance and gymnastics.
Whether it's refining techniques, building confidence, or simply sharing the joy of movement, our dedicated buddies are here to make every class a positive and enriching experience for all
How to sign up?
Class Buddy Student Intake Process
Complete the Online Intake Form: Students who would like to participate in the Class Buddy Program should have a parent or guardian complete the online intake form using the button/link below.
Please provide information about the student’s interests, strengths, challenges, preferences, and support needs. This information will help our team find the most appropriate Class Buddy match. If a question does not apply, please enter N/A.
Form Review: Once the form is submitted, our team will review the information provided.
Matching Process: Students will be matched with a Class Buddy who best fits their individual needs and preferences. Families will be contacted regarding the match and next steps, typically within one week of receiving the completed form.
How to volunteer?
Class Buddy Volunteer Application Process
Complete the Online Application: Individuals interested in volunteering as a buddy for the Class Buddy Program should complete the online application using the link/button below.
Please provide information about your background, experience, availability, and reasons for wanting to volunteer. If a question does not apply to you, please enter N/A.
Application Review: Once the application is submitted, the Dance It Out office will review the information and contact applicants regarding the next steps.
Training: Approved volunteers will complete training to help prepare them with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively support students during class.
